Conclusion: 1. Difference between backsliding and apostasy. 2. Believing Needs to Be Continual, Not a One-time Act John 3:16,36; 5:24; 10:27-30; 11:25-26; 20:31 John 10:27-29 (NASB) 27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. John 3:36 (NASB) 36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." 3. God is the Judge; We are Poor Judges. Romans 9:1-3 (NASB) 1 I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, 2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, Romans 10:1-3 (NASB) 1 Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. 2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. 3 For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. 4. Judgment is determined not by the beginning but by the end, or fruit. Heb 3:6,14; 2 Pet 1:5-11. Hebrews 3:6 (NASB) 6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end. Hebrews 3:14 (NASB) 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end, 5. Be A Growing Christian Till Your Last Breath.
