Samaritan’s Purse, since 1990, has offered Operation Christmas Child as a means for over 100 million children in over 130 countries to experience God’s love through the power of simple shoe box gifts. Working through local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ, these boxes are delivered to children based on need, regardless of their background or religious beliefs, as an unconditional gift of love.
Join others from BCC each year to fill a shoebox or donate items to be added to shoeboxes, which will be collected early in November. Gift items that may be put into shoeboxes: small toys, school supplies, small solar calculators, coloring books, hygiene items, t-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights, etc. A personal note to the child and your photo may be included. If you include your name and address, the child may write back. (Do not include chocolate, out-of-date candy, food, war-related items/toys, liquids or lotions, medications or vitamins, breakable items, aerosol cans.)
